About the house

Two desks in Toronto. A prejudice about phones.

Pixello began in 2021 in Ottawa as a one-person studio for small utilities. After a long quiet, we are two people in Toronto, making four iPhone apps that treat attention as something you keep — not something we rent.

The previous homepage claimed “more than 16” apps and still listed FloatApp, CalBar, QTextify Pro, and FinderBar. Those experiments taught us how to ship. They are not the catalog anymore.

What remains is narrower on purpose. TopLeft for the shape of a life. Focus Timer for the next honest block. Neuron for the facts that fade. Per Push for the hours a phone tries to take.

Support mail lands on the same desk as the Xcode project. If you write, one of us answers.

Principles

What we refuse.

On your device

Workouts, cards, and focus sessions stay on the iPhone that created them. We would rather ship less cloud than rent your attention.

No account to begin

Download and start. The first good hour should not wait on a password.

One job per app

TopLeft is for priorities. Focus is for the next twenty-five minutes. Neuron is for memory. Per Push is for the time you earn back.

Quiet, not loud

We design for people who already have enough notifications. The interface should feel like paper, not a feed.

History

Five years, including the quiet ones.

2021

The studio opens

Pixello starts in Ottawa as a one-person house for small, purpose-built Mac and iPhone utilities.

2022

TopLeft ships

A life-management app with four corners and five horizons. The idea: see the whole picture before you pick the next task.

2023

Focus Timer

A Pomodoro companion with a zen fade and Siri. The catalog learns to care about the quality of an hour, not just the list.

2024–25

A long quiet

An extended break. The old Mac experiments (FloatApp, CalBar, FinderBar) go still. The company site freezes in place.

2026

Two desks in Toronto

Neuron and Per Push. A second person. The studio moves to Toronto — same four apps, two of us on the inbox.
